Mission & Vision Statements
Vision: We strive to foster a culture of academic achievement that empowers students to become change agents who produce a positive impact in their community.
School Goals
Development & Access
This plan was jointly developed with input from parents and school staff and is written in clear, family-friendly language. Families are invited each year to review and update the plan through meetings and surveys. Feedback is used to improve family and community engagement. Copies are available online, in the school office, and upon request.
What is Title I?
Brewbaker Middle School is identified as a Title I school under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). This means it receives federal funding to support high academic standards through effective teaching, learning, and family engagement.
All Title I students and families are encouraged to participate in the opportunities outlined in this plan. The school will provide inclusive, accessible opportunities for families, including parents with limited English proficiency, disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness or foster care. Information will be shared in clear, family-friendly formats.
Parent engagement is a partnership between families, schools, and the community. This plan explains how families can be involved, how the school will communicate, and how we will work together to support student success.
Montgomery Public Schools' priorities guide everything we do to help students succeed. They focus on student learning, safe and supportive schools, great teachers, and strong partnerships with families and the community. Every school strives to achieve these goals, ensuring that all students can learn, grow, and thrive.
The school district priorities are listed below:

FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PLAN
Mission: We equip and engage our students to become life-long learners and leaders.
Brewbaker Middle School
Our school partners with district programs, local organizations, and community agencies to enhance family engagement and promote student success. Families receive resources and training to support learning at home, such as reading, math, technology, and understanding test results. Teachers and staff receive professional learning on working with families as equal partners. All workshops and events are designed to be accessible and inclusive of every family. Parents are encouraged to contact the school to request specific training /activities of interest.
Workshops & Training
The School–Family Compact is jointly developed each year by parents, students, and teachers to outline our shared responsibility for student achievement and success. It describes how high-quality instruction, family support at home, and student commitment all contribute to learning.
The compact is reviewed and updated annually during the Title I Parent Meeting and discussed at conferences, workshops, and other school wide events. Families are encouraged to share input on the compact and how it can better support student success.

Communication
We believe communication should go both ways. Families receive timely updates about curriculum, assessments, and student progress, and are encouraged to share feedback, questions, and ideas with teachers and staff. This two-way communication helps us work together to support every child’s success. All information is shared in clear, simple language and is available in multiple languages and accessible formats. Translation and interpretation services are available upon request.
Parent Resource Center
Our Parent Resource Center provides take-home materials, learning tools, and resources to help families support their children's learning. Visit the school to explore these materials.
