4 year colleges additionally like to see & may require…

  • 2 years or more of a single World Language
  • 4 years of Science
  • 4 years of Math (U of M TC requires 4 years)
  • 1 year of the Fine/Performing Arts

Some colleges will consider a student for admission if one of these requirements (a deficiency) is missing but all other criteria are met. It is important to note there are variations in college admissions requirements and you should check with individual colleges for specifics!

  • Social Studies- US Government & Politics w/ Economics or Advanced Placement Government & Politics w/ Economics
  • Math- Algebra II, Honors Algebra II, Algebra II Concepts, Pre-Calculus, or AP

Pre-Calculus

  • Science- Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry or Physical Science
  • PE (if still needed)
  • Art (if still needed)
  • Electives

*Students who register for less than 21 credits will automatically have a study hall for each open period

  • Research NCAA if appropriate (Division I & II athletes)

  • Encourage your students to try electives they know nothing about but may have some interest in
