Restenford

On the Isle of Lendore, in the Spindthrift Archipelago, it is said there is a town called Restenford. Built where the island’s largest river meets the sea, it acts as a minor port, where farmers, fishers, and trade their goods with the few cogs that pass by on the way to larger and more profitable destinations.

It is said that this land is plagued by many ills. Bandits operate with impunity along the roads and waterways. The city is hindered by poor leadership, a lack of strong religious authority, and a diffident and lazy guard. Worst of all, ancient ruins atop Bone Hill are said to be infested by...well, its not entirely clear what. Some stories describe bands of gnolls and orcs, while others suggest a Necromancer has taken up residence, raising hallowed dead soldiers of era’s past, who once more walk the halls and man the ramparts.

Whatever lurks in the ancient ruins of Bone Hill, Restenford is a town in desperate need of help. And who better to do it than a band of dangerous, ill-tempered, and heavily armed adventurers?

Hodd is very large, almost 10 foot tall. He always has a large shoulder bag full of vegetables and a very large walking staff. On his back is the largest two handed sword you have ever seen. His language is imperceptible to most intelligent humanoids, so most think he is mute. His mood can be determined by his natural odors once you get to know him. He has a spiral pattern tattoo on the upper portion on his head around his horns that is slightly iridescent. This magic tattoo allows Hodd to speak telepathically to anyone within normal range of usual conversation. Hodd has been trying to learn the ways of the little people and help find a place for the rest of his brethren to settle in these lands. Hodd is slow to anger and very thoughtful of his decisions which leads people to believe he is not as smart as he actually is.
