  • Be mindful of the heightened anti-immigrant rhetoric, jokes and memes that are floating around and HOW they may impact your immigrant students.

  • Keep your ears open to possible bullying that may occur and check-in on your students.

Refugees and asylum seekers have often already experienced multiple traumas, including war & violence, separation from loved ones, and forced relocation. As educators, we have the opportunity to reduce and prevent future trauma.

Over six 1 hour lunchtime sessions, gain insights into current trends, e-cigarette evolution, and prevention strategies. Explore school resources like restorative justice and effective policies. Each session is approved for (1) continuing education credit for Ohio Prevention Professionals, Licensed Social Workers, Certified Health Education Specialists, Registered Nurses, and Psychologists.
