Mission: Ephesus Elementary will serve each unique student by building strong relationships in order to provide high quality instruction in an inclusive, equitable and safe environment.
Vision: Ephesus will lead students to be confident, lifelong learners ready to make positive impacts in their communities.
Values: All students deserve a quality education. All school staff will work together to ensure students' academic, social and emotional needs are met through purposeful instruction and support.

Math Goal:
By June 2024, math proficiency levels will increase for the following student groups based on EOG results:

A2.16: Units of instruction and activities are aligned with AIG goals, ELL student progress, IEP goals and objectives for all students.
A4.06: ALL teachers are attentive to students' emotional states, guide students in managing their emotions, and arrange for supports and interventions when necessary.
C2.01: The LEA/School regularly looks at school performance data and aggregated classroom observation data and uses that data to make decisions about school improvement and professional development needs.

Celebrations and Growth Opportunities
SWD increased slightly in overall reading proficiency as did our EDS students
Black, LatinX and EDS students all showed an increase in proficiency for math in the 23-24 school year
mClass proficiency data in K-2 showed that 84% of students were green or blue on their composite at EOY (as compared to only 62% proficient at BOY)
TWC data showed that 97% of staff feel that Ephesus is a good place to work and learn. 90% of teachers feel that they are an important part of the school and are proud to work at Ephesus.
97% of staff feel that students follow school rules and 100% feel that we have a clearly establish positive behavior intervention and support system.
Black students did NOT meet growth as determined by EVAAS, despite the increase in proficiency.
Students with disabilities did not meet growth a determined by EVAAS.
Overall growth was below zero in all areas which indicates a core level problem across grades 3-5.
Only 69% of staff feel that we set a clear vision for Ephesus and a clear vision for instruction.
67% of staff feel they do not have a say in the types of professional development they can attend and 41% of teachers feel as those it is appropriately differentiated.

School Culture Goal: C2.03: The LEA/School provides all staff high quality, ongoing, job-embedded, and differentiated professional development.
A4.16: The school develops and implements consistent, intentional, and on-going plans to support student transitions for grade-to-grade and level-to-level.
Strengthening Family and Community Engagement E1.06: The school regularly communicates with parents/guardians about its expectations of them and the importance of the curriculum of the home (what parents can do at home to support their children's learning). Four family engagement events are done each year that encompass curriculum, learning and culture (Core Night, Family Ball, Family Culture Night, STEAM Night)
