The Redesigned Rocketbook App for iOS
Let’s get started
“The Rocketbook app is like a ‘speed dial’ for sending my notes to folders in my favorite cloud services.”
Tips for getting the most out of the Rocketbook App
Imagine your ideal workflow.
Why do you want to scan your pages and when do you want to do it? We’ve found that the people who benefit the most from Rocketbook have a clear understanding of how scanning files fits into their workflow.
Think about what cloud services you typically use.
We currently support Google Drive, Evernote, Dropbox, Box, OneNote, Slack, and iCloud. You don’t have to use them all -- just pick the one(s) that work for you!
Assign a “job” to each symbol.
Think of each symbol as a delivery vehicle with the specific job of getting your pages from point A to point B in the fastest way. That’s the value of our 7-symbol system -- speed.
Connecting symbols to cloud services
Tap any of the 7 symbols to connect a symbol to one of the supported cloud services.
You can connect to folders and subfolders across multiple user accounts.
Tap Check to make sure that your connections to cloud services are working.
Customizing the settings for each symbol
Pick the file format for your scanned files: PDF or JPEG.
Tap Change Destination to connect the symbol to another folder or another cloud service.
Tap Reset to Default to reset the connection to your default email.
Bundling allows you to group scans into one file. It only works with PDFs. Bundling works when you consecutively scan pages that have the same symbol marked.*
Auto-send allows you to immediately send the scanned files after scanning. You won’t be able bundle or review the scans, but it speeds up the sending process.
*Let’s say you have pages 1, 2, and 3 with the Rocket symbol marked and Rocket is configured to Bundle Scans ON. If you scan those pages consecutively, then they will show up as one bundled file instead of 3 separate files.
Scanning your Rocketbook pages
After you’re done scanning, tap Done and move onto the next screen where you can rename your scanned files.
The camera will automatically pick up the Rocketbook page. Make sure the page fits entirely in the screen.
You can preview your individual scans by tapping the thumbnail tray.
Renaming your scanned files
Rename your files quickly by tapping the text field.
Once you’re done renaming and happy with what you have, just hit Send. The scanned files will be on their way to their end destination!
Viewing your scanned files in History
Tap the dropdown menu to sort, select, re-sync, and delete scanned files.
Tap the Settings icon to change your name and adjust your scan settings.
Select a scanned file to view it in more detail. You can re-send the file to any destination by tapping on the 7-symbol bar in the detailed view.
Your existing scanned files will still be stored on your device in the app. They will migrate over to the updated app.
Make sure the connection between the symbol and the cloud service is good. You can do so by going to the Destinations screen and tapping “Check.” If any connection is not working, it’ll be noted on the screen and you’ll be able to reconfigure the destination. If you’re still having difficulty, take a look at our FAQ page or send us an email.
