Mt Ruapehu

The mountain is 2,797 metres high.

The mountain is popular for different sports and

activities like Skiing and snowboarding

My experience of the mountain was_that it was so much fun I want to go there again because I now love skiing and I am now good at skiing.

When I looked out the window I thought of being the happiest one in my family because I have never been to Mt Ruapehu before and my dad and my brother went to Mt Ruapehu in 2017.

Mt Tongariro

and Mt Ngauruhoe

http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/landscapes-overview/page-4

These three mountains sit in the Volcanic region.

They last erupted in: Ruapehu, which last erupted in 1995–96, Ngāuruhoe is a symmetrical cone that last erupted in 1975, and 21 November 2012

Which mountain has crater lakes?

Mt Tongariro

Is Desert Road in a real desert? Yes

I learnt: That Mt Ruapehu last erupted in 1975.

Reflections:

Reflections are an important tool for learning. We can look back to remember, to celebrate and to improve on any experience or learning we have

Draw or write your reflections in this box.

My reflection is: I love doing so many things like skiing, swimming, and almost everything that I can think of but I just can’t stop doing so many fun things and just can’t stop thinking of things to do!!! I just can't stop thinking about new things to do anywhere.

Notes about my adventures

Wahoo! I was zooming past other people and they were like ‘Look how fast she is!” I was proud that it was the 2nd day and I learnt so quickly with skiing!

The Gondola ride with my group colour was fun they were like the chairlift fast but the annoyest thing on the chairlift was that it kept on stopping!

It was the 1st time skiing, also on the first day learning the important parts of skiing I got used to the important parts and the 2nd day I was super good at skiing at free time.

My last adventure was walking in the ski boots nearly all day they are very heavy at 1st but you will get used to them and they won’t feel heavy after a few days, my dad felt so proud of me that he gave me the gopro camera!

The other best thing was that my Dad and I got to have 2 hot chocolates in 1 day! “Mmmm” My Dad and I said because they were so yum!
