DROP OFF TRAFFIC

  • Drop Off Traffic
    • MS/HS
      • At 7:00 am Traffic will enter the parking lot from the Woodward Entrance.
      • They will drive counterclockwise staying to the right as they travel through the drop off and pick up area.
      • As they round the back side of the gym, they will drop off their student at the gym entrance.
      • All students will wait in the courtyard.
      • Parents will then drive straight forward and exit onto St. Elmo and turn right.
    • HSI
      • HSI Parents will enter from the St. Elmo.
      • They will drive straight forward and turn right into the HSI drop off point.
      • They will then exit by driving in our N. parking lot and exit onto Woodward by turning right.
    • Dual School
      • Parents that have children attending both schools will utilize the procedures from HSI.
      • MS/HS students will then walk along HIS’s sidewalk and cross to the MS/HS side utilizing the crosswalk.
      • They will then enter the gym.

DISMISSAL TRAFFIC

  • Pick Up Traffic Starts at 3:20pm Monday - Thursday and 1:15 pm on Fridays
    • MS/HS

      • Traffic will enter the parking lot from the Woodward Entrance.
      • They will give the crosswalk duty the name/student # of the child they are picking up.
      • The crosswalk attendant will enter the number into the HOP system from their phone. If HOP is down, they will radio so the announcement can be made for the student to make their way to the gym door for pick up .
      • They will continue to drive counterclockwise staying to the right as they travel through the pickup area.
      • As they round the back side of the gym, they will pick up their student at the courtyard entrance.
      • The student will exit the courtyard and get into the car.
      • Parents will then drive straight forward and exit onto St. Elmo and turn right.
      • If students are taking a while parents will pull to the side in front of the courtyard to not hold up traffic.
    • HSI
      • HSI Parents will enter from the St. Elmo.
      • They will drive straight forward and turn right into the HSI pick up point.
      • They will pick up their students at the pickup point.
      • They will then exit by driving in our N. parking lot and exit onto Woodward by turning right.
    • Dual School
      • Parents that have children attending both schools will utilize the procedures from HSI.
      • MS/HS students will walk out the walker door in the gym to HSI and pick up their siblings by walking across the crosswalk and along the sidewalk to the pickup point at HSI

DROP OFF WALKERS

  • Drop Off Walkers
    • MS/HS
      • At 7:00 am walkers may start entering the campus through the Woodward entrance.
      • They will walk along the sidewalk located on the N. end of HSE. They will stay along the building and enter through the courtyard gate.
      • NOTE: At no time will any student walk along the front of the building.
      • NOTE: If a student is approaching the campus along St. Elmo, then they will be directed along the fence line towards HSI. They will then cross over to HSE utilizing the crosswalk behind the gym.

DISMISSAL WALKERS

  • Dismissal Walkers
    • MS/HS
      • Walkers will walk out the gym door located by the crosswalk.
      • They will walk towards the sidewalk that goes to Woodward St. From there, they can go to the Woodward/ ST. Elmo intersection or towards Texas Highway 71.

EDIT- HSI Can NOT Walk byself

    • Dual School
      • HSE students will exit from the gym door and cross at the crosswalk.
      • They will then pick up their siblings and head back across the crosswalk located behind the gym.
      • They will then walk along the N. side of HSE to the sidewalk located on Woodward heading towards the Woodward/St. Elmo intersection or towards Texas Highway 71.

  • Student primary parking will be on the N. end of the parking lot. Overflow parking will be located directly across from the courtyard.
  • No student will park in the teacher designated and/or the elementary school parking.

Carline Rules

Carline Rules

  1. No left turns throughout the carline system.
  2. Parents will need to remain in their cars at all times.
  3. Parking in the driveway/ carline at any time is strictly prohibited.
  4. No honking.
  5. Cell Phone usage in a school zone is prohibited- Texas State Law.
  6. Do not walk through the carline at any time.
  7. Be ready to follow the dismissal team’s directions.
  8. Provide student names to dismissal teacher
  9. Be respectful and appropriate language will be used at all times.
  10. Students should be ready to exit the vehicle in the morning without delay.
  11. Once doors are closed, this means you are late. You MUST park and sign your student in or sign your student out.
