Speech & Debate Banquet

  • Tuesday, April 30th @ 6:00pm!
  • Located at the AV Senior Community Center. It’s just a block away on Hayes Road. This has worked very well the past few years!
  • A rental fee has been paid, but there is NO CHARGE TO YOU.
  • We are looking for HEAVY ATTENDANCE. This is a night to celebrate your accomplishments.
  • Every student walks away with an award!

Speech & Debate Banquet

  • Come around 5:45pm. The actual program will start at 6:00pm, but there will be light snacks and refreshments served early. BE EARLY.
  • The Booster Parents will send out an invite to your family – via e-mail.
  • Everyone: bring baked goods to share.
  • Juniors: bring a case of water/pop that night!
  • If you’re not going – we need to know why. Please let ME know. This affects awards, etc.
  • Dress up! Not for a speech tournament, but think “business casual”

Auditions for Next Year’s Team

WHEN?

  • Thursday, May 30th, & Friday, May 31st from 3pm - 6pm.

WHO?

  • EVERYONE! All current members who want to return must re-audition each year.

​

WHERE?

  • Mr. Ostrander’s room (122)
  • Next year’s Team Captains will help run the audition process.

​

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

  • Just like last year!
  • All members will receive an audition packet in a couple weeks. You will need to answer a questionnaire and prepare audition material provided for you. Each audition takes 4-5 minutes.

Seniors - Honor Cords

We’d like ALL seniors to wear the Honor cords for graduation. The cost of each is $15.00 and theirs to keep. You can bring these checks or cash in within the next week. If you can't afford it, see Mr. Ostrander. The cords are an honor that should be recognized for being a member of the National Speech and Debate Association.
