Welcome to The LOTUS Beach Bash Guide

The White Lotus Inn’s Beach Bash is an in-character, fanon-historical themed social Roleplay event.

The event largely takes place on the lawn & beachside of the Inn. If you need to take a break from chat scroll, you’re welcome to break off inside the building or to our many IC rooms labeled with a ● in the name .

Event staff will have the tag beside their names. Feel free to send a/tell if chat scroll is intense.

All gil exchanges are IC. No need to spend real gil though donations for our staff are appreciated.

OUR HOOK: A E T H E R W A V E

Aetherwave is a recent revival of a hyper-specific cultural art form discovered in studies of the ancient Allag. The genre is defined largely by its surrounding subculture, with its music inextricable from its visual accoutrements. Aetherwave builds upon the experimental and ironic tendencies of late Allagan aetherial designs, while also being associated with an ambiguous or satirical take on reliance on the machine and technoculture. The name derives from "aetherware", a term for aetherochemical experiments that were attempted but never released due to failure.

In short, the Aetherwave aesthetic is a retro, infectious music & art movement catching fire in Eorzea’s orchestrions and clothing shops today.

Guests are encouraged to come out in their best neons, big hair, shiny accessories and anything that fits a truly radical look! A photo on the beach will be held for all A E S T H E T I C looks of the night at 8:30PM EST.

Event music will include new retro wave, 80s, synthwave & electronic sounds so bring those glowsticks! Tune in to our cytube for the evening for our immersive stereo system.

MELON CRUSHING CONTEST

Think you have the strongest thighs in Eorzea? Come on down and test them out! Crush some watermelons by the sea and rate your thighs with your peers at 9:00pm EST.

HOW THE GAME WORKS:

🍉Adrian Suzuka will be the judge, seek them out in the White Lotus Yard if you want to enroll.

🍉Each round will be done by /random rolls in game. The lowest roll each round is disqualified until we have a winner!

PRIZES: A photoshoot at the melon buckets, a Varsity Jacket & the title, MELON MONARCH. Our top 5 melon crushers will also receive an Allagan melon pet!

BURGER BOMBSHELL GRILL-OFF

What is a beach party without grilled MEAT and dads in sandals with socks on? Join judges Felore, Vander & Rukai for our first ever, GRILL OFF where sovereigns of the backyard barbecue get to flex their burger flipping skills and become the BURGER BOMBSHELL!

HOW THE GAME WORKS:�🍔 There will be 4-8 grillers total. 2 Grillers compete per round. Each round will have 3 turns. Felore will invite you to a party to help DM the match.

🍔Grillers will Roll first, then emote in /yell during each turn. Each roll is an attempt to grill a burger to perfection. The highest roll of each turn earns the griller an HQ burger.

🍔The griller with the most HQ burgers at the end of the round will move on to face the next challenger. In the instance of a tie, a sudden death round will happen to determine the victor.

🍔All burgers cooked are ICly available for party goers to eat. It’s free meal estate.

WATER BOMB YOUR PALS

Do you have a good arm? Then stop by one of our water bomb stands! Grab a handful and chase your friends around with some splashes of fun!

Come to the water bomb stands and grab up to 5 water bombs that are absolutely popping with color~
Pick a target and throw! Roll a /random in game to see if you were successful. Anything greater than 400 is a successful hit! But if you roll lower then it’s a flop and it’s off to the baskets for some new ones.

SUMMER TREATS

Looking to relax a moment with something to eat? All of the tables inside and out are full of food. (this will be a NPC server, roleplay to your heart’s content your OC’s getting dished up)

● Jumbo Parfait ●

Sweet crystal glasses are filled to the brim with every kind of flavor of fruit and fresh cream. It’s an absolute rainbow display of fruity goodness.

● Somen ●

Ultra slim, vibrantly multi-colored noodles are swirled onto plates next to soup bowls flavored of ginger and scallions. A cold, noodly treat for those who want something not too heavy to munch on.

● Kuzumochi ●

A vegetarian friendly summertime snack of wiggly-wobbly mochi covered in a dark honey glaze for sweetness and some roasted soybean flour for flavor. The jello-y mochi has been swirled with a neon bright blue and pink display.

● Ayu ●

Grilled fish on spikes that taste, oddly, almost like watermelon. These fresh fish were caught just off the docks and were slapped right down onto the grill for your enjoyment. They have been, almost comically, covered in a dusting of edible glitter.

● Hingan Sangria ●

A take on the alcoholic punches of Eorzea combining sweet-sour plum wine with sparkling water. Every glass served swirls with a combination of inland and tropical fruit from berries, stone fruits, and shreds of jackfruit. A spoon is served with each drink.
