They ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about intoxicants and gambling. Say, “There is great evil in both, as well as some benefit for people—but the evil outweighs the benefit.” They ˹also˺ ask you ˹O Prophet˺ what they should donate. Introduction

Addiction is something we all go through and it can be a lasting effect unless we take control. Are you ready to take control of your addictions? Or will you let it control you? Faith is in your hands. Steve Jobs says “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”We can get so complex about addiction, but to keep it simple, addiction is defined as the continued use of a drink, a drug or a behavior despite negative consequences.

Food

Adult Content

High-sugar and high-fat foods can trigger brain reward centers, leading to compulsive eating similar to drug addiction (Avena et al., 2008).

Drugs can hijack the brain's pleasure system, making users crave more and often leading to other life problems, with about 60% of addicts also facing mental health issues (NIDA, 2021).

Excessive porn use can shrink brain areas involved in reward and decision-making, similar to effects seen in drug addiction (Kühn & Gallinat, 2014).
