The role of books in your life
Contemporary life is impossible without reading. Reading develops our ability to concentrate, gives us an opportunity to visualize the stories we read in our own way. Regular reading enriches our knowledge of the world and helps to form our entire personality.
Books make us think and analyze.They form our character and moral values and broaden our world outlook. Books educate people, enrich their intellect. Moreover, books can help us to get self-educated and solve problems. They can make our life more meaningful.
Books not only teach us, but stir our imagination, expand the boundaries of the familiar world, and fill our life with great expectations. They give us a unique chance to link up with people of the past. Thanks to books we can talk to people who lived in different ages and countries. With the help of books we can not only look into the past but also foresee the future.We can learn a lot of useful and exciting things about the world we live in.
A book is a faithful and undemanding friend: it can be put aside and taken up at any moment. In conclusion, I can say that I read books for pleasure and delight. It is a wonderful way of spending spare time.
Different kinds of books you know
In my opinion, all books can be nonfiction or fiction. Nonfiction books contain factual information, such as biographies and history books. Fiction books contain a story which was made up by the author.
There are different kinds of books: horror stories, spy stories, love stories. Some people like reading detective stories, novels and biographies, others prefer classics. Children are fond of the beauty and wisdom of fairy tales and fables which teach to be kind and clever, to be brave and honest, to understand other people. People, who like travelling, prefer reading adventure and travel stories. Legends and myths are read by those, who are interested in history.
Science fiction is a kind of stories, which tells about life in the future, space travelling and life on other planets. Fantasy is a story about strange or imagined events and people.
