spread positivity throughout our school, while also helping the environment

My kindness project revolves around the environment and Earth Day. I want to plant trees, plants, and flowers around the school. This will not only help the students get engaged in environmental work, but also brighten up our school and show it some love. I am hoping the money needed for this project could be funded by a school event, fundraiser, or a restaurant night. On the trees I am planning on planting, students and staff can write positive notes that involve their goals, hopes, or even just saying “I hope you have a great day.” This will show people how much positive energy is flowing throughout our school.

My idea for a kindness project is to help the janitors by cleaning up the outside. The reason I want to do this is because we used to eat outside and there is a lot of trash. We want to take care of the ecosystem.

This kindness project is a bulletin board where students or teachers can write on a sticky note something kind or nice a student said or did. Then stick or pin the sticky note on the board. This will represent a kindness project because later in the day students can see if someone wrote about you and it will makes you proud of yourself. This board will be put up in our school January through June.

Bling for Bulldogs

This project will take place in May and revolves around donating to dogs and other pets. There will be a drive to collect the “bling” for the pets at the West Suburban Humane Society. People can donate food, treats, leashes, towels, etc. At the end of the drive, we will take the collected items to the Humane Society. A couple of weeks before May, I will call the West Suburban Humane Society to see what they need. I’m sure this will make the dogs and cats very happy.
