Overview

As a Developer intern in the ITS, DISC department, I assisted various projects such as migration of data to a more robust system from legacy system , Automating the process of creating the word document using Python scripting. Implementing a solution to easily replace data in multiple documents. Through these projects I was exposed with the challenges that a Developer would experience as part of their role.

Takeaways

  • As part of intern project, I was able to learn and gain knowledge on Rest API and python scripting
  • Thorough understanding of project requirement is critical and to come up with questions at beginning of the project helps save time and effort
  • Importance of how critical it is to Document the process of migration
  • Importance of planning ahead to successfully complete the project

  • Successfully migrated more than 1000 accounts data from password safe to CyberArk
  • Created a Manual and presented to the stakeholder the process to add, edit or delete the data in new system (Cyberark)
  • Developed a python script to automate the process of generating word file as per the requirements to help DI developers
  • Designed a method to solve the issues(Contact information consolidation) in production support document

Throughout my internship, I engaged with Data Integration services team in which I was provided an opportunity to work on real time projects.
