Play Sports?

  • MSHSAA Requirements 
    • Students must pass 3.5 credits in the semester preceding the activity
    • Students must be enrolled in at least 3.5 credits the semester of the activity

  • Check school email and Canvas regularly; Parents are encouraged to put an observer email in Canvas
  • Juniors will have a meeting with the Counselors at the beginning of their Senior year to discuss post secondary plans

  • College Visits—2 days Junior year and 2 days Senior year
    • College Visit Form available online, in Counseling Center and in the Attendance Office

When students are ready to apply

  • Application Online

  • Students who are on Free or Reduced Lunch may be eligible for an Application Fee Waiver

  • Release of Records for Transcript— Form (one time)

  • Transcript/Records Request—Google form on KHS Counseling website (each school)

  • Dual Credit College Transcripts—request directly from colleges

  • Student and guardian must complete an FSA ID prior to completing the FAFSA
  • You can begin completing the FAFSA October 1st of your senior year
    • You will do this every year you are in college
  • State of Missouri Priority deadline is February 1st
  • Check deadlines for your college/university and Federal deadlines.
