  • Students mimic the signal to let others know it’s time to regroup�
  • Uses both hands, which helps limit distractions from hand-held items (e.g., phones or toys)

HOW WILL WE DO THIS?

We will use our PAWS tickets for positive reinforcement.

🐾 PAWS Ticket Distribution Guidelines

  • Each day, 10 staff members will receive 1 PAWS ticket.�
  • Tickets are placed in staff mailboxes (boxes) on the day they are to be used.�
  • If staff receive a blue PAWS ticket, it is his/her responsibility to give it out by 2:00 PM that same day.�

Action Steps for Staff:

  1. Retrieve the ticket from his/her box.�
  2. Distribute it to a deserving student by 2:00 PM.

HOW WILL STUDENTS EARN THEM?

  • Students can ONLY earn a ticket if they are exemplifying PAWS in the targeted common areas. (Restroom, Hallways (lines), Lunch area, recess).

INCENTIVES

  • Counselors will make an announcement daily at 2:00pm for students who received a PAW to come down and put their ticket in the principal’s 100 board.
  • Students will receive a positive message home.
  • Once a line hits, on the principal’s 100 board, those students will receive a party and will be announced on the morning broadcast.
  • The board will be cleared to start again
