”ETAR” Architectural-Ethnographic Complex �That is an open-air museum and a district of Gabrovo. It represents a reconstruction of the Bulgarian customs, culture and craftsmanship.

is located near the center of Veliko Tarnovo. It was the main Bulgarian fortress during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom.

In 1205 at the Battle of Adrianople, Latin Emperor Baldwin of Flanders was captured by Tsar Kaloyan and closed in a tower in the southern part of the capital fortress Tsarevets. �

"Baldwin Tower is a symbol of the clash between the knights of the Fourth Crusade, Latin Empire and Tsar Kaloyan. One of the biggest victories of the Bulgarian arms and one of the largest battles in medieval history at all."

The castle has three entrances and the main entrance is located on the western side of the hill.

In the central part there is a palace complex, which is a collection of buildings surrounded by an inner stone wall, two towers and two entrances from the north and south.It includes Throne Hall, Hofkirche and the royal quarters.

Samovodska old bazaar in Veliko Tarnovo�It was established in the 60s of the 19th century, and today there are typical Renaissance houses, small shops which now sell souvenirs and cobblestone streets around.
