The Examination System at RIT is primarily involved in the following activities:

  • Consolidate and Prepare list of eligible students
  • Conduct examinations (for Odd Semester, Even Semester, Makeup and Supplementary semester)
  • Facilitate and Moderate Valuation work
  • Verify and Announce Results (Online and Offline)
  • Address students’ grievances related to examination
  • Issue of Grade Cards, Provisional Degree Certificates and Transcripts

    • A student is required to earn 18 or more additional credits through Massive Open Online Courses such as SWAYAM/ NPTEL approved by the institute/ Board of Studies.
    • The credits are assigned based on the course duration as One credit per Four Weeks.
    • Registration to “Honours” qualification shall start from fifth semester onwards.
    • The Registrations shall have obtained a CGPA >= 7.50 at the end of the fourth semester.
    • The student has to complete each additional coursework successfully irrespective of number of attempts, with a minimum final score of 60%.

  • Minor in any discipline can be chosen by a candidate performing well in academics - CGPA ≥ 5.0 and completed all courses in first attempt.
  • Students taking up Minor is required to earn 18 or more additional credits through the Department offering a minor.
  • Students aspiring for minor in a discipline are required to register for the additional credits during fourth to eighth semesters and complete all the courses prescribed by that department.
