  1. Leveraged actions achieves the goal
  2. Lead measures
    1. Predictive & Influenceable
    2. Small outcome (daily or weekly results)
    3. Leveraged behavior (tracks specific behaviors the team must perform)
  3. Isolate & consistently track leavers
  4. Pay the price to track
  5. Ideal lead measure
    • action that moves the lag
    • Action the team can take without significant dependence on another team
