The reason why Animasi Camp was made

Many animation creators find it difficult to find it's collaborators because the concepts and stories that they propose are not mature enough to be presented. In fact, pre-production elements such as concepts and stories are the most crucial aspects in animated film production, as they serve to ensure that the film's ideas can be understood properly. Therefore, potential collaborators demand clear concepts and stories that are easy to present.

Animasi Club realizes that animation production teams often faces challenges in developing ideas and stories during the pre-production stage. Although many tutorials are available on various digital platforms, two-way learning with instructors and guidance from mentors who are experts in their fields has a different impact on the creative process.

About the Animasi Camp

Animasi Camp is a three-day, two-night intensive program that provides mentorship from practitioners with more than 20 years of experience in the animation industry, as well as curated material from expert instructors. The program focuses on guidance from the early stages of idea development to pre-production, so that participants can build a strong foundation for their animation projects.

The camp format was chosen to create a creative quarantine atmosphere that allows for learning process intensive and continuously. By living together for three full days, participants are freed from their daily routines and also experience an informal atmosphere that encourages the exchange of ideas. Interaction takes place not only in the classroom, but also during the festival, in casual discussions, and in late-night conversations that often give rise to fresh ideas and opportunities for collaboration.

With a combination of full focus, guidance, and an informal setting that supports the exploration process, Animasi Camp is designed as a creative quarantine space that encourages each participant to refine their work with depth, direction, and a new energy.

Develop your idea into an internationally-standard animated film that is ready to be promoted!

Each idea requires a different approach to execution; there are various narrative and visual possibilities that need to be tailored to the characteristics of each film project. Through a three-day mentoring program and intensive classes at Animasi Camp, participants are facilitated to explore the most appropriate strategies for effectively realizing their animated film ideas.

Animasi Camp 2025 takes a new approach:How to take an animation idea from its initial stages to the point where it is ready to be pitched to potential collaborators (grant providers, co-producers, investors, festival market curators)

Together with mentors and professional tutors, participants will develop stories, concepts, and visuals into solid pre-production materials.
