My husband Chad and I have been married for almost 14 years and have three children who are all here with me!

This is my 17th year in 3rd and I love it! I am excited for the year with my bestie again!

Phonics is also included in our reading series.

English/grammar is encompassed in our reading series as well.

Cursive will also be taught this year! We will focus on 2-3 letter per week with similar strokes. Possible support pages sent home for homework.

Spelling words are connected to our Amplify reading series. These words are a little more challenging, but Mrs. Bateson limits some groupings of words. Spelling tests are not weekly. There is usually over a week for students to work with each new set of words.

Our reading series was new last year and is called Amplify. There is an online component to this series also, which will be nice. There will be 11 units covering different topics. Each topic will last approximately 15 days, with an assessment at the end.
