Letterland
Unit 7: The three sounds of -ed /ed/, /d/, /t/
This week students will learn about the 3 sounds the suffix -ed makes in a word
Examples of this week’s words:

When practicing Letterland with your child, please focus on practicing the skill, not memorizing the words. All words on each list will follow the weekly pattern. Have your student read and re-read his/her spelling list for fluency.
Reading
We are finishing the 3rd unit of or EL module. We are reading about schools around the word and comparing/contrasting them to our school experiences. Our Performance Task is to write a book entitled “The Important School Book”.
Math
We will continue to work on using a variety of strategies to add and subtract within 100. We are working on situation equations with unknowns and solution equations for the word problem.
Social Studies
We are learning about culture, values and traditions.
