  • Most are currently kept behind locked doors
  • Easy to use and extremely effective

DECREASING ACETALDEHYDE IN LAGER BEERS

  • NO CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL WILL TAKE PLACE DURING RESEARCH
  • Acetaldehyde is an unwanted byproduct from yeast
  • Experiment will use genetic modification to eliminate the acetaldehyde byproduct and test the sample’s quality

  • 2 main bee subspecies for research
    • Italian: struggle with surviving winters and disease
    • Africanized: more aggressive yet more survive winters and disease
  • Test the relationship between aggression and immunity
  • Has already acquired test samples and began experimenting
  • Want to eliminate the stigma about bees

  • 30 minute sessions testing stereotype threat
  • Extension of experiment from 2014-2015 school year
  • Goal to expose subconscious stereotyping and make students more self aware
  • Cannot explain further details of research process as to not skew results
