Smart Home Nerds was established in 2023. I founded this company because of my love for technology, my extensive background in network design, and my enjoyment for home improvement. All of these skills fall perfectly to help people of all knowledges of smart home integration get started improving their homes.

MESH WIFI SYSTEMS
We offer a few options for Home Network improvement
We can help install a basic wireless router in your home, but the preferred option for a smart home with multiple devices and smart home products is a mesh WIFI system. This system consists of 2 or more routers that link together. This helps alleviate dead spots in your home and is built to handle large amounts of devices.
In today’s day and age, you need to be able to handle all these devices or you will have connectivity issues.
Cell Phones, Smart TVs, Computers, and other Wireless devices all need to be able to connect without congestion.
We work with multiple different Mesh options and price ranges.
We can do outdoor wifi as well and even have options to connect outbuildings with internet access.
ETHERNET CABLE RUNS
We can help with ethernet cable runs if needed. These are good for full internet speeds to any device with an ethernet cable jack. Some examples are running an ethernet cable to a wireless router or a dedicated run for a work computer.

Wyze has a more budget friendly option, but picture quality and sound are a little less than the more expensive models
We offer a few different options for doorbells.
DoorBells provide a way to see who is coming up to your door and interact with them.
You can talk with them while away or home without coming to the door.
Also AI can tell you when packages are left or your pet just showed up at the front door.
GOOGLE NEST
RING
Nest is definitely more on the expensive side, but really excels with AI and picture quality. It also links up very nicely with Google Home devices to announce who is at the door
We offer a few different options of Ring Doorbells. This company was 1 of the first to provide video doorbells and can pair nicely with Alexa.

Does not use your existing Doorbell Chime, but comes with its own
We offer 2 options for Door locks.
Some users prefer to keep with the Google line if they get the Google Nest Doorbell so we offer both Google and Wyze as options
GOOGLE/YALE
Googles Smart lock is actual provided by Yale which is a very reputable Lock Maker. This is a WIFI lock that can be accessed anywhere. It comes with a Keypad for entry. Its main downside is its price.
This Device replaces your existing deadbolt.
Can be used with existing chime and Google Homes
Wifi option that can be accessed from anywhere. Keeps existing Deadbolt and key lock. Additional keypad can be used.
Bluetooth Option can only be accessed locally via Bluetooth. Has fingerprint scanner and keypad.
