How to borrow E-books and Audio Books and renew borrowed items

We have two sources for ebooks--all require that you download a free special app to your mobile device.

Each source will be described along with the approved mobile devices and links to sites that will provide more information. Usernames and passwords are required for each source and these are included in the directions. The last slide gives an overview of the sources along with the appropriate passwords and usernames. Contact the Media Specialist if you are unable to use any of the sources.

To read Follett Ebooks you first need to download the Destiny Discover app for your device. Click the url below to bring up the link to click on for step by step instructions:

Choose either the Apple or Android option under the Destiny Discover icon

to download the app to your device

After downloading the app, when you open it, you will need to type in O’Fallon in the blank where it asks you to search for your school by name. Once you select your school, you will be prompted to continue and get a login screen where you will type in your username and password.

Student’s username is their Skyward “Other ID” 8 digit number. It is also printed on the ID card of Junior High students under their barcode. This number can be found in your Student Information that your parents can give you using the SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS link off of the school web page.

Student’s Password is their school mascot all lower case. i.e panthers, cougars, kodiaks, mustangs, etc.

Faculty user name is the same as your library key card # & Password = 1234

To use on your desktop/laptop computer you can click the Destiny Discover link under the Library Media Services Web Page.

To Log in to your library choose ILLINOIS HEARTLAND LIBRARY SYSTEM as YOUR LIBRARY

Faculty - Library barcode is on your issued keytag and password is the last 4 digits of that number.
