From Saigon To Saigon

2 of 23

About The Project - Our Mission

The project From Saigon to Saigon was created to support low-income neighborhoods/communities during the pandemic.

They are in quarantined areas with little to no access to basic needs such as food and medicine. Those who live in deep alleyways are in even worse conditions.

Each of those families faces its own challenges, but they all need help.

We wish to help them a bit by providing basic grocery and over-the-counter medications.

How We Work

The people in need (requestor) contact us through our Facebook page.

We send them a Q&A to better understand the situation. They provide us with necessary information including their address, the number of households in need, notes about children or elderly, and any other special needs.

After receiving full information and vetting them to the best of our knowledge, we proceed to order and make the necessary purchases.

A supermarket chain system will help us deliver the relief package to the requestor.

After the delivery, we collect bills from the supermarket chain, and confirmation data from the requestor.

The information includes pictures, bills, and a hand-written receipt.

What is inside the relief package?

Our goal is to ensure the relief packages contain balanced nutrition as well as calorie-dense foods such as rice and instant noodles.

Packages are supplemented with home cooking ingredients such as sausage, sugar, fish sauce, cooking oil, and vegetables.

Households with children and elders will receive extra milk and (need depending) diapers. On average, we provide 4-6 packs of milk, each pack containing 4-6 lots.

We provide additional support for special needs households. For example, a single mother raising a special-needs child will receive a cash supplement of 500.000VND.
