When you enter a lesson, on the top right there is a wordbank

for all the lessons and it comprises the most difficult words that

students might encounter during the activities.

Game (listening and reading skills):

Ask a student to go in front of the class.

He will have to guess the words according

to the definitions read by his classmates.

(he/she will obviously not see the screen)

Challenge: who can guess five words

in a row? Add a timer for more fun.

Game (listening and writing skills):

Ask a student to go in front of the class.

He will have to write correctly the word that he

hears. You can help him by saying if the word is

a verb, noun, adjective, etc)

Challenge: who can write three words

in a row? (tip: choose the longest ones)

The lessons are intended to be used by students

from all parts of the country.

We call them “lessons”, but they are in fact parts of lessons that

take about 5-10 minutes to go through.

Each lesson has about 5 interactive exercises that may

contain 3-10 items to be solved.

Each lesson focuses on a main skill (listening, speaking, reading, writing),

though the exercises may address other skills too.

The contents are made in accordance with the English teaching syllabus and

with the students’ interests.

The grammatical explanations are clear and short, and they are always followed

by exercises.

The lessons can be used by the students individually at home, or by

the teacher as a teaching aid at school.

A collection of 17 worksheets consisting of 2 pages each, based on popular songs.

On the first page, the students look at the lyrics, listen to the song and try to fill in the missing words- about 20 words (main skill involved: listening).

On the second page, the students read a text about the singer or the band that plays/played the song and fill in the missing spaces with the given words (reading).

Then, they have to answer four questions. The first two (speaking) are based on the text, the third focuses on depicting the message of the song (speaking) and the fourth task asks the students to write a paragraph about personal views, beliefs or thoughts on a given subject. (writing)

Each worksheet ends with a “teacher’s copy”.

Targeted age level: 7th - 8th grade students (14-15 year old students)

30 lessons based on the online game BAAMBOOZLE

A 3 step approach:

STEP ONE: introduces the thematic vocabulary

STEP 2: a worksheet that students can solve at their own pace

STEP 3: playing a Baamboozle game: each lesson has got a code that can be introduced on the webpage www.baamboozle.com- the students can play the games at home, in class or online with friends, by using any device.

At the end of the workbook, the students will be able to design and play their own board games.

The final page consists of poems and songs fit to the targeted age level (1st grade, 7 year old students)

At the end of the year, the students will be able to recognise and use a wide variety of English words.
