Math 6

WELCOME TO

Math 6 is a course that instills essential Algebraic concepts. We will focus on strengthening your math skills and improving your thinking, reasoning, and problem solving skills. The textbook used is BIG IDEAS MATH (Green) created by Big Ideas Learning. For assistance with homework questions, you can find practice tests, extra reviews, and games that help reinforce lessons at BigIdeasMath.com. Students are each given their own personal login information to access these resources.

Communication

Communication between guardians, students, and teachers is extremely important for academic success. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me using the contact information provided. I try my best to respond within 24 hours (excluding weekends). You will receive a weekly newsletter from the purple team weekly and encourage you to read it to know what's happening in math! (see front for QR code)

Additional Support

At AMS, we understand that math can be challenging, & we're here to help! If your child is finding math difficult, we plan to offer tutoring opportunities where they can get the extra support they need. Lunchtime tutoring may be available—stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, we strongly encourage students to ask questions during class to build confidence and deepen their understanding.
