  • Keep the troop website current with latest announcements or troop news
  • Add upcoming events to the troop calendar
  • Create photo albums for events - encourage photo contribution
  • Train scouts and parents on how to navigate and use the website
  • Look for new ways to improve troop communication through the website

Keeping The WebSite Updated

  • Troop News section on home page - include latest announcements
  • Create photo albums for upcoming events and link to the photo section of website
  • Add new Eagle scouts to Eagle Nest section
  • Add upcoming events to the troop calendar

  • Site is implemented with Google Sites: https://sites.google.com/site/?usp=sites_home
  • Link for WebSite: https://sites.google.com/site/testtroop132site/
  • Troop132Fremont - Google account for website and calendar maintenance
  • Photo albums are Google Photo albums
    • create a separate album for each event with the Troop132Fremont Google account
  • Troop Calendar is shared with Troop132Fremont Google account for editing

WebSite Permissions

  • The website is world visible
  • The “Members” area of the website it restricted to Google accounts belonging to the troop Google group: fremonttroop132@googlegroups.com
  • People can access the member section by either having a gmail address that is part of fremonttroop132@googlegroups.com
  • Or they have to create a Google account based on the email address that belongs to the troop Google group
