OBJECTIVES:

  • To provide all the necessary facilities for games and sports activities in the college.
  • To assist and encourage the students for their active participation in organizing and conducting competitions at the college level.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meeting of the members of the committee at least once in a year:
  • planning of the activities within the allotted budget and an action plan to implement the same.
  • requirement of equipments and play fields.
  • seeking prior permission from the principal before the activities actually commence at the beginning of each academic year.
  • Holding trials and organizing activities at the college level.
  • Selection of teams and participation at inter-collegiate level (CSJM University Kanpur) , zonal level, state and national level.
  • To recommend sanction of registration fee, travel and other expenses for participation in various sports events
  • To maintain Registration forms and record of sports and games events attended by students within the college and outside the college.
  • Organizing ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
  • Preparation of Annual Report and submission to the Principal at the end of academic session.

STUDENT SUPPORT

  1. A separate spacious sports stadium of 17300.37 square meters with fully equipped pavilion for cricket, football and track and field events like shot-put, discus-throw, javelin throw etc.
  2. Coaching facility for athletics and cricket by hiring renowned coaches on honorarium basis.
  3. All the expenses incurred during University and other outstation events including the registration fees are paid by the college.
  4. Providing Jersey and Kits.
  5. VOCATIONAL COURSE in PHYSICAL

EDUCATION AND SPORTS (started in 2021).

FUTURE PLANS

  • Marked Space for Indoor Games like Table-Tennis, Chess and Carom
  • One Major sports event every year inviting teams from district– signature event of the college
  • Organizing games between the teams of students and faculty wherever possible
