VAGUE
"Should I go to this?"
AI reads the invite title and says "probably yes." It doesn't know your calendar, your role, or what a wasted hour costs you.
ENCODED RUBRIC
1
Decision — is something actually being decided?
1 = status share · 5 = decided in the room
2
My role — why am I specifically on the invite?
1 = FYI body · 5 = it stalls without me
3
Email test — does this need to be live?
1 = obviously a thread · 5 = real back-and-forth
4
Blast radius — what happens if I skip?
1 = nothing · 5 = work stops or a relationship takes damage
5
Prep cost — what does showing up properly require?
1 = real prep I'd have to steal · 5 = nothing
Score: 1–5 each, anchored | Output: Attend · Async/Delegate · Decline
Same shape as the vendor rubric. What's new: the anchors. "1 = FYI body, 5 = it stalls without me" is your judgment written down — AI can't guess that.

Should I take this meeting?
I'm going to paste in meeting invites. For each one, score the five criteria below. Every criterion is 1–5; I've defined what a 1, 3, and 5 mean — 2 and 4 are in between.
1. Decision. Is something actually being decided?
1 = status share, nothing decided · 3 = shaping a decision that happens later · 5 = a decision gets made in the room
2. My role. Why am I specifically on the invite?
1 = FYI body; the notes would serve me the same · 3 = I'd contribute, but someone else there could cover it · 5 = it stalls without me
3. Email test. Does this need to be live?
1 = obviously a thread · 3 = needs a conversation, not a scheduled one · 5 = needs real back-and-forth
4. Blast radius. What happens if I skip?
1 = nothing · 3 = someone waits a day · 5 = work stops or a relationship takes damage
5. Prep cost. What does showing up properly require?
1 = real prep I'd have to steal from something · 3 = 30 minutes I can find · 5 = nothing
Rules. If My Role is a 1, cap the total at 12 no matter what. If the invite has no agenda, say "no agenda" — don't invent one. Never score higher because the organizer is senior.
Verdict. Total the five. ATTEND at 18 or more. ASYNC OR DELEGATE at 12–17. DECLINE under 12.
Return a table: meeting, five scores, total, verdict, and the one criterion that decided it. For every DECLINE, write the two-sentence decline message I'd send.
THE ANCHORS
The 1 / 3 / 5 lines. This is where your judgment actually is — "5 = it stalls without me" can't be guessed from the invite.
THE RULES
The caps and the "don't invent an agenda" line. Without them AI fills gaps with confident guesses — and flatters seniority.
THE VERDICT
Three buckets plus a drafted decline. It ends in time you got back, not a number you still have to interpret.
