Language Arts Letter Ww (every day)
Letter Ww: Watch a letter Ww song by clicking on the pictures, then practice writing the letter Ww. You can do this with chalk, crayons, pencils, in sand, etc. If your child knows the letter Ww, they can try writing words with the letter Ww in it. Start a Ww word collection by drawing Ww words, cutting out pictures from magazines or taking pictures of objects that start with Ww. Add to this all week.

Language Arts: Listen to the Story Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten. What kind of things do you want to do in Kindergarten? / Escucha la historia. ¿Qué tipo de cosas quieres hacer en Kindergarten?
Letters: Review all the letter sounds with the song. Practice writing your name. If you can do that, practice your last name or your family members’ names. / Revise todos los sonidos de letras con la canción. Practica escribiendo tu nombre. Social Emotional: Play “Mirror.” Face each other, determine who is the person looking in the mirror and who will act as the mirror. Take turns making a face for a feeling/emotion into the “mirror,” and having the “mirror” make that face back. Talk about the feelings and what causes them as you play. / Juega "Espejo". Letters: Find a warm flat surface suitable for your young child to comfortably lie on his belly. Have your child take a few deep breaths before lying down on his belly. Slowly write letters vertically — upper and lower case — one at a time, nice and big across his back. Ask your child to quietly call out each letter. Add numbers as your child becomes comfortable with the game. / Busque una superficie plana y cálida adecuada para que su hijo pequeño se acueste cómodamente sobre su vientre. Science: Pick an object (a toy, object from nature, craft item, etc.) and come up with as many different words to describe it as possible (rough, smooth, hard, squishy, small, etc.) See how creative you can get! If your child masters this, try describing an object in the room and have them guess what you’re describing (I see something that is rectangular, smooth, shiny, wooden, hard, etc.--a table!) or have them describe an object to you to guess. / Elija un objeto (un juguete, un objeto de la naturaleza, un objeto artesanal, etc.) y proponga tantas palabras diferentes para describirlo como sea posible (áspero, liso, duro, blando, pequeño, etc.) Vea qué tan creativo puede ser ! Math: Pick a distance to travel (ex. from the couch to the wall, the length of the driveway, etc.) and count how many steps it takes to travel that distance.
