The Concept

Tourism is all about experiences and seeing is believing over here. The pandemic has curtailed our travel, but what if we could experience it again? 9.2% of Indian GDP(~240$ Million) was contributed by tourism in 2018, and a loss of 5 lakh crores due to Corona. Let’s level up tourism, with AR and XR. The metaverse is coming, and let’s make the tourism journey a lot more inclusive & immersive, virtually!

The Concept

  • An AR visualization of prefered destinations using 360 degree videos to virtually visit the spot .

  • AR model of the Tourism Monument/Spot

  • User interactions along with analysing and prediction of user interests for improved efficiency.

  • AR MODEL- A portal (AR Component) that opens at user’s location and other end is at the destination.
  • VIRTUAL ASSISTANT-Interactive multilingual assistant that guides the user through different locations of the app.
  • USER INTERESTS PREDICTION- Suggesting the suitable spots for a user according to his/her interests with ML algorithms and Survey.
  • DATA UPDATION- Data about new tourist spots can be updated by user and administrator.

  • Our target audience is the youth and middle-aged demographics for whom experiencing new places is a passion. We would like to essentially target all the audiences who are curious about tech and travel.

Feedback

  • We received a highly positive feedback among our peers, and most of them loved the concepts of immersive 360 video experiences, as it helped them explore the place a bit more.

  • The concept of AR models helped many of our friends understand the architecture and specialities of the monuments and tourist attractions.

  • Internal reviews, with a varying age group, had a very positive outlook and loved the feel of the application.

How it works

The core concept is to render a 3D model as an overlay that the user can experience through their devices.

  • The content is requested by the user, and the data is fetched from the storage, and the user’s phone can then render the same content to give a unique 3D experience.

The content access data can be used to give valuable insights to the development team, and improve the services.

The Business Plan:

We would like to move with a freemium model, where the base offering would be free, but more accessibility will be unlocked to the customers who are providing the necessary financial support to the company.

We would offer some spots to all, but the highlight spots would be premium.
