A-G Eligibility

What is A-G eligibility?

  • CSU and UC schools calculate A-G GPA from courses taken in 10th and 11th grades.
  • UC/CSU’s offer GPA Bumps from taking Honors or AP classes *SJUSD does not weight GPA.
  • You need to get a C- or better in your A-G coursework.
  • D’s and F’s disqualify you from being A-G eligible

*Some courses can be validated by earning a C- or better second semester after getting off A-G track

Sample Transcript: Credit Summary

1) Look at the credits remaining section (third column) in the Credit Summary section of your transcript.

2) Cross off any credits that you will earn this school year (junior year).

For example, juniors who are currently taking U.S History will earn 5 credits of U.S History each semester. So, going into senior year that requirement will be met.
