PLC #7 Feedback - Impact of NorCal ELC Work
The impact on me and my students has been great. Taking the time to be mindful of and work toward 3 important improvements in our staff, students and school has given me a sigh of relief. I have already seen the huge impact our working as a team has created.
This has been an important part of putting my organization, leadership and reflection skills in action. The practice in creating space for important ideas has been phenomenal. The next steps for me: continue the work on the POP and start creating more ways to get feedback from my group on what works best and what could be improved.
The opportunity to work with so many people that have similar goals is invigorating. The discussions on leadership have helped me frame my role in education. The discussion on equity have made me more steadfast in my commitment to improving access in my classes, program, and school.
I definitely feel that my leadership skills and confidence have grown through the knowledge, experience, and tools that I have gained through the ELC. And, through that, our PLC has been able to affect positive change at our school.
PLC #7 Feedback - Impact of NorCal ELC Work
This has given me an AMAZING opportunity to look at the procedure and foundational steps for instituting transformational change at a school site. I have appreciated that through our struggle we saw how to improve and move forward in a way that feels more supportive of our staffs needs and perceived needs.
I can't believe what an impact it has had on me. I have gone from thinking our PoP is a tiny little thing we are working on here, to realizing how a tiny little thing can be part of a big picture change (equity in every school!)
Collaborating with my own team and others has been most impactful. The work we do with our students based on our PoP has been impactful. As always, I continue to grow in my leadership through this work.
