Youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services represent an approach that provides a comprehensive range of sexual and reproductive health facilities that young people demand in order to complete their specific needs, desires and vulnerabilities with high standards to be achieved in the best public services.

HEALTH CARE AND SERVICE PROVIDER
The service provider should be:
•Well trained, technically competent and non-judgmental.
•Show respect and concern for young people.
••Aware of normal patterns of adolescent development.
••Have interpersonal communication skills.
••Motivated and supported.
••Have knowledge regarding referral systems for youth.
••Maintain and respect the confidentiality and privacy of the youth.
••Have access to accurate drugs and supplies.
••Provide information and support to enable adolescent’s voluntary and informed choices.
••Have the appropriate skills to diagnose and treat common conditions.
••Give adequate time to clients or patients.

Youth-Friendly Health Clinics mandate facility-based clinical as well as counselling services for adolescents and to ensure accessible, efficient and effective services.
