Multiplication facts

Even though it looks like we have lots of basic facts to learn, we can make it easier for ourselves. If you look at the next slide, we only have to learn the facts coloured green in our table.

That’s because it doesn’t matter which way round the numbers are, the answers are the same. For example:

5 x 2 = 10 and 2 x 5 = 10

These facts represent different groupings though.
