Welcome and Introduction
The Lambeth African and Caribbean Healthy Weight Programme is being developed to support Black people in Lambeth, and so it is important for us to get your views on several areas of the programme.

Aim of focus group
To get your thoughts on various aspects of the programme by discussing and asking you to complete polls or respond via the chat. We want you to tell us what you want to see on the programme – content, design, language, tone, sessions etc.
This information will be used to design the workbook and help shape specific areas of the programme.

Workbook: Welcome and Introduction
The African and Caribbean Healthy Weight Programme seeks to empower its members to make choices that support long term health whilst continuing to enjoy traditional food and customs.
This is a 12-week programme that includes nutrition, behaviour change education and physical activity. This booklet is designed to be used in addition to attending the weekly classes. It should also be a reference guide beyond the 12 weeks as you continue your healthy weight journey.
