MISSION AND VISION

• * A professional networking group offering continuing education and conferences to promote training and development for mental health providers in the Northwest Indiana region.
• * Dedicated to enhancing the quality of care for those with mental health needs.
• * Provide opportunities for mental health professionals to network, learn, and grow in their field.
• * Bring together a variety of disciplines and fields, including psychology, psychiatry, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and counseling.

PMHC OVERVIEW

• Founded in February 2023 by Jennifer Jimenez DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC and Joseph Fanelli MD
• Monthly Dinner Meetings in NWI since then.
• Expanded to Indianapolis in April 2025.
• Variety of learning topics and engaging conversations.
• Average attendance 15-20
• Most for Indy was 24
• Most of NWI was 22

PMHC GROWTH

• Started with a list of 23 emails.
• Grew to 67 emails before a year was over.
• 51 attendees at First psych summit
• 76 attendees at 2^nd psych summit, CE provided
• Now have almost 300 contacts on the website.

ADVANTAGES AND IDEAS

• Networking: Students find students in same curriculum; students find placement for clinicals. New grads are often connected with other consortium members for job placement.
• Collaboration: Real clinical experience, outcomes and conversations.
• Continual learning: Various relevant topics; held conference; plan to do CME/CEU learning activities.
• Empowering: Encourage others to precept and mentor, speak and teach and eventually publish work.
• EBP: Collecting data as a group to gain credible clinical evidence to share with colleagues.

FUTURE GOALS

• Working with IU informatics/computer prof to fix website so that we can collect clinical data as a group and generate real world evidence.
• Have a Comet Lab “team” working on this.
• March, May, November will have virtual CME series on website. Can purchase 1 series or all 3 series for the year.
