Conversation

Overview

This class is designed to provide English learners the opportunity to engage with English in meaningful and exciting ways relative to their current lives and futures. The goal of this class is to not only improve English learner’s conversation skills and confidence using English, but also aims to help them become more interested in the �language and more motivated to use it through �small group conversations, informal presentations, �and listening activities.

Guided Reading

    • World Folklore
      • Students will be exploring and analyzing traditional literature from around the world.

Material

Overview

In this engaging Reading class, the students will explore world folktales to build language skills while discovering how these timeless stories have helped shape modern culture.

Students will learn to distinguish different types of folktales, analyze characters and plots, summarize key ideas, and identify themes and morals across cultures.

Through storytelling and presentations, students will also strengthen oral fluency, confidence, and public-speaking abilities in a supportive environment of 24 peers.

Writing

Class Overview

This writing focuses on helping students improve their English writing skills. The main goals are to learn the full writing process, with strong emphasis in prewriting and planning. From narrative writing (writing stories) to writing clear, well-organized formal essays, they will build confidence �in organizing their thoughts and research, drafting proper �paragraphs and publishing clear, cohesive papers.
