You are required to check in with your teacher every week.
Work seminar class
If you are enrolled in work seminar your work and completion will be based on work goals and teacher meetings.
You will still be required to check in weekly with your instructor, Mr. Gerlach, keep an eye out for an email/text from him. He will email/text you Wednesday afternoon to set up a meet or text you if we have your cell phone number.
Art/PEI/PEII
The classes listed above are project based.
You will be given a list of projects and you have some choice as to which ones you complete to meet the standards of the course.
Art, PE I and PE II can be used for an elective credit.
Checking in
Checking in with your teacher is how you attend class
You must check in with your teacher each Wednesday during your class time. This is when you can get progress updates and assistance with your work.
You can check in at home or maybe even on a break at work, but if you are constantly checking in and not turning in work we may require you to use the credit recovery room or you may lose your schedule.
What is checking in?
You must join your teachers google meet in order to be considered in attendance.
Accessing your google classroom without checking in with your teacher on the meet will result in being marked absent.
Cameras must be on when meeting with your teacher.
This is when you will work with your teacher on your progress and get any feedback or assistance with your work.
What happens if I don’t check in? (Attendance)
If you don’t check in for three weeks in a row you will lose your schedule for a minimum of three weeks.
There are no excused/unexcused absences.
Even if you don’t make progress you need to check in weekly.
Where do I go to login to class?
You can login from home anytime between 2:30 and 5:00 PM
***Some teachers start later than 2:30, please read your welcome email from them carefully.
OR
You can use one of the credit recovery rooms at your school(see next slide)
Where do I go if I want to use the Credit Recovery Room?
If you would like a space to work and attend your class you can use the following supervised room at your high school listed, this is not required, you can attend from home as well.**If your class doesn’t start until after 3:30 I would recommend logging in from home**
Credit Recovery rooms are located at the following schools from 2:30-4:45:
Andover-Media Center(not available 10/1)
Anoka-S114(Ms. Hoffman’s room)
Blaine-IMC

When do I complete the work ?
You complete your assignments when you have time, however I would plan on Wednesday afternoons when your teacher is fully available between 2:30 and 5:00 PM.
Your teachers may not be available outside of class time on Wednesday.
Remember you can use the credit recovery room after school on Wednesdays to work and check in with your teacher from 2:30-4:45 and catch the activity bus home.
What do I need if I am using the credit recovery room?
Headphones and your chromebook(or the device that you use)
Credit System
How long does it take to complete a course?
This depends on how much time you are spending on your learning target assignments and varies by content area.
There is no time requirement that you have to be enrolled.
If you complete at least one learning target/week you could be done within 6 weeks.
Communicate with your teacher via email when you have questions.
**Please note they are all teachers in the district and are working with students from 7:30-2:25**
Where can I see my class?
(You must use your schedule tab in student vue to see your course, do not try to view it using the gradebook tab)
How do I get help?
Progress
If you are constantly checking in but not turning in work you may lose your class.
Your parent/guardians will be notified weekly of your progress.
Some helpful Tips while in your meet
Be patient! When you are waiting to work with your teacher please do not leave the meet.
Earlier is better than later when checking in to your course!
The later you check in the less time you have for assistance with your work.
