Scope of Work Discussion

1. Review current use cases
• Which are still valid
• Which need to be updated
• Which need to be deprecated
2. Consider LOC use cases related to Entity Management as they evolve, consider where they match with or enhance our use cases, for example:
• “As a cataloger at LC, I want to view changes in non-MARC thesauri (or any external dataset) and update local MARC/BIBFRAME descriptions so that I can maintain accurate information between systems.” --Inspired by our #1 use case according to Gloria
3. Define new uses cases as appropriate

Communication Channels

• EMWG Slack channel,
• Do we need a separate channel?
• FOLIO wiki
• Google Drive folder
• Store meeting recordings and documents not yet on wiki
• Email
• Others?

Meeting Logistics

• How many meetings do we need?
• How often should we meet?
• Suggestion: Every 2 weeks at 11 am (Eastern), Tuesdays, opposite EMWG meetings
• Someone has to take notes every time

Current Use Cases

1. As a FOLIO user I want reporting/queue features that make sense of changes in external datasets so that I can maintain information between systems
2. As FOLIO user I want entity lookups incorporated into data input forms (cataloging forms) to previously identified datasets so that I can easily reuse existing external descriptions.
3. Support BIBFRAME and other entity-based data models
4. As a FOLIO user I would like to create entities locally when the entity is not available from an external source. I would like this locally created entity to be shareable.
