Click on "Gradebook" in the Menu

Click on the "Launch Icon" (red arrow) in the menu tab to start your gradebook.

You can also launch your gradebook by scrolling down to the bottom of the Announcements page and clicking the blue

"Launch PowerTeacher Gradebook" button.

Click on the "+" symbol in the Categories Pane.

Setting a color for your new category will make it easier to identify once you start entering grades.

Make sure to click OK when you have completed filling in the fields.

Accessing Student Info

  • In the Class Pane select your semester and class.

  • In the Groups Pane Click on "Active" and select a student

Student Information Tabs

  • Extra Class Columns tab allows you to add custom information to the student.
  • Teacher Personal Note lets you add notes and comments that only the Teacher can see.

Personalize Class Columns

Any column can be reordered by clicking the "up" or "down" triangle. Extra columns can be added to sort student information by clicking Extra Class Columns.

Edit Columns

Select a column and then click on the Edit button to create a new class column.

Name the Column

Enter the column name and any other information. Click OK when you are done.

You can now enter student information into the new column which you've created.

Creating Assignments

  • You can add or delete selected assignments with the "+" or "-" icons next to your content.

Assignment fields include "name", "abbreviation", "category", "weight" and even descriptions on links to other resources.

Allows the teacher to determine when the assignment will be visible to students or if scores will be visible.

Once you have added the assignment, you will now see it in your Scoresheet columns where you can start to enter your grades.

Preferences can be set by clicking on Tools and then selecting Preferences in the dropdown menu.

Student Final Grades can be viewed by clicking on the Grading Term and then Final Grades.

Outside web content like research, intervention and assessment pages can be linked to your class by clicking on the Class Content tab.

Click on the My Content button along the top of the page and then click the "+" symbol along the bottom-left side of the page.

Paste the URL into the Address box. You can create extra categories by clicking on "+".

Once you are done, click Save at the bottom of the page and your content will now display on your class information page.
