Write your experience in reverse chronological order. Always put your most recent experience on the top and your oldest on the bottom.
List workplace and volunteer experience relevant to the internship you are applying.
Always start with past tense action verbs such as Handled, Assisted, Demonstrated, etc.
NEVER USE OR START WITH “I” OR “MY”.
Don’t use fancy font, use Times New Roman, Arial, etc with 9-12 font size for the whole resume beside the name. The name should stand out.
When describing what you did at your job, always use the 5 W’s (Who, What, Where, When, and Why).
Resume should not be more than one page.
Make sure your resume format is concise, clear, and easy to read.
NO TYPOS or SPELLING ERRORS - ask several people to proofread your resume before sending.
