This logic resonates with students;

they see their courses, semesters, degrees, and professional ambitions

in these ePortfolio concepts.

More Showcase Opportunities

Students share details on a specific page/tab of the ePortfolio, and provide an abstract of that material rather than linking to Home

Students can showcase multiple experiences each semester

Are these just website pages?

18 of 22

How do these ePortfolios differ from websites? Great question!

Truth is: ePortfolios are websites.

They differ from the typical website

because they include strategic reflection

and provide additional contextualization.

20X20 Presentation Overview

  • Re-Imagining ePortfolios: ePortfolios as Nesting Dolls
  • Sophie Carrison and Debbie Oesch-Minor (IUPUI)

ePortfolios are well-known to document and showcase student learning. We argue that ePortfolios are also practical tools for ideation, managing processes, collaboration, and more.

Our 20X20 challenges ePortfolio users to re-imagine the possibilities for ePortfolio use, from the typical uses as class projects, capstones, and degree assessment to expanded possibilities for ePortfolio use for coordinating teams, committee work, tracking activities for annual reviews, presentations, sharing grant work, instructional tools, and more.
