    • All Clubs appropriately registered
    • All Players, Coaches and Admins registered
    • Use RX for all matches

    • All Clubs currently registered
    • All Players, Coaches and Admins currently registered

“Union-Sanctioned” Events /Tournaments

    • Expectation that all players are currently registered with USAR
    • Expectation that all participating Teams have USAR currently registered Coach
    • All participants sign letter of attestation that they are currently USAR-registered - Rosters
    • All participants sign waiver of liability

Friendly Matches

    • Expectation that all players are registered with USAR
    • Expectation that all participating Teams have USAR registered Coach

USAR Directly Sanctioned Events, Aspen Ruggerfest

    • Organizers pay USAR $150 Sanctioning Fee
    • All Participants must have USAR registration
      • Temporary Memberships are acceptable
    • All rosters submitted to USAR for vetting

*** THE UNION IN WHICH THE EVENT IS HELD SHOULD ALSO PROVIDE CONSENT BEFORE USAR SANCTIONS THE EVENT IF THE EVENT ORGANIZERS ARE MEMBERS OF THE UNION***

International Tours

    • USAR Clubs should request and receive approval/ release from USAR before traveling abroad
    • International Clubs should receive same from their NGB before travelling to USA

Clinics and Educational Programs

    • Should include USAR Registered / SafeSport approved coaches and/or Educators
    • Host Clubs should inform Local Union Leadership

“UNSANCTIONED” Events

Practices, scrimmages, matches, tournaments, and Tours in which the Organizers knowingly allow participation of players, coaches, or Clubs and/or Organizations that:

    • Knowingly are not currently registered with or officially SANCTIONED by USAR
    • Are not recognized by Community Council
    • Do not have required International release
    • Crossover with other Communities which have specific Eligibility Restrictions

Tournaments, or Matches held without approval of Local Union and/or USAR Sanctioning

“Unapproved“ Events

  • Practices, scrimmages, matches, tournaments, and Tours in which the Organizers knowingly allow participation of players, coaches, or Clubs and/or Organizations that:
    • Are not in Good Standing with either USAR or Community Council, or other governing body (i.e. GU)
    • Conflict with other GU- Sanctioned Events
    • Involve Teams and Players registered to a Governing Body outside of USAR
