DYNAMIC SIBLING APPLYING PRIORITY: MAKE OFFER

When we make an offer to an applicant, the dynamic sibling priority will automatically apply to their sibling's application (if applicable), meaning that the sibling will be prioritized in the lottery.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR WINNING FAMILIES?

  • Parents of children who are offered a spot for next year will need to press the green “accept” button on School Mint within 5 days of receiving the offer.
  • Next, they will need to submit their child’s enrollment packet through School Mint within 14 days of receiving the offer (which includes the initial 5 days above).
  • The enrollment packet consists of questions about the child and requires for the parent to upload the below documents (all within 14 days) – NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
  • Parent ID (license or passport)
  • Two proofs of residency (valid types of proofs of residency are outlined in the acceptance email)
  • Child’s proof of age (birth certificate or passport)
  • Child’s most recent health records (dental, physical, and immunizations)

WHAT’S NEXT FOR WAITLISTED FAMILIES?

  • Children who are initially waitlisted in the lottery may still have a chance of being accepted at any point before October 1st, which is when we stop enrolling new students.
  • If/when a spot becomes available for a waitlisted child, their parent will receive the same acceptance email from School Mint that the initial batch of winning families receive during today’s lottery.
  • After receiving this email, they will need to follow the same steps as the initial batch of winning families.
  • In other words, they will need to press the green “accept” button on School Mint within 5 days of receiving the offer and then submit their child’s enrollment packet on School Mint within 14 days of receiving their offer (which includes the initial 5 days above).

NOTE – See previous slide to view the specific documents that will be requested from winning families. Waitlisted families should NOT wait until their child wins to begin gathering the required documents. Some families who have done that in the past have missed their deadline and lost their child’s spot due to a lack of preparation, so please be proactive and gather all documents ahead of time in case a spot becomes available for your child in the near future.
