Problem
For decades already an average of 37 kids (and hundreds of pets, including police K-9s) die in US every year in hot cars.
Why Now?
As a result of intense pressure from an outraged public on Sept. 15, 2016 the legislators stepped in with the Hot Cars Act of 2016.
H.R.6041: “Not later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Transportation shall issue a final rule requiring all new passenger motor vehicles be equipped with technology to provide an alert that a child or unattended passenger remains in a rear seating position after the vehicle motor is deactivated.”
“DOT shall issue a report to Congress on the feasibility of retrofitting existing passenger motor vehicles with such technology.”
The TIMING for a Solution could not be any better!
Solution
never4get.us is the most reliable, affordable and versatile add-on technological solution out of all products and concepts proposed so far. It’s perfect for both new vehicles or retrofitting the existing ones since it requires no installation tools or skills and installs in less than 10 seconds. (Details at www.never4get.us).
Competition
Evenflo SensorSafe Car Seat: test results show it works only with certain models 2008 or newer. Parents who own a qualifying vehicle have to dispose of the child seat they used and pay $150 for the new Evenflo.
Sense a Life: expensive, no data about its reliability and requires smart phones and apps for several people. Due to lack of traction the price was recently reduced from $150 to $99.99.
Competitive Advantage
Automakers Attempts
So far two automakers -- GMC and Tesla -- launched vehicles with pre-installed presumably lifesavers for kids in cars.
Their approaches DO NOT comply with the requirements of the Hot Cars Act of 2016 so they need to go back to the drawing board or acquire an Intellectual Property -- like never4get.us -- from outside their R&Ds.
Auto and car and truck accessories manufacturers can come up with mediocre and costly solutions which can badly damage their business or they can bet on the winning horse: never4get.us
Market Size
1. Vehicles:
There are over 260,000,000 registered passenger vehicles in US.
With 17.55 million new vehicles sales 2016 was the seventh consecutive year of year-over-year sales gains.
2. People:
As of the Federal Highway Administration there are 210 million licensed drivers in US.
As of cdc.gov there are 3,988,076 births per year in US and, by law, each of the newcomers will need a reminder while inside a vehicle.
$$$ (1)
“Car and truck accessories are big business -- an estimated $40 billion a year. It's a highly lucrative business as well, with typical profit margins of 40 to 50 percent.” -- Automotive News.
A mandated by law accessory in a $40 billion/year marketplace is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
$$$ (2)
Retrofitting an existing 260 million passenger vehicles with a product selling for $30, $45 or $60 per unit in the circumstances of 40% to 50% profit margins will result in an average profit of $5.265 Billion:
$$$ (3)
Similarly for an yearly average of 17 Millions new vehicles sales the average profit will be $344 million a year. Chart 1 + Chart 2 predict a profit of over $6 Billions in the next 5 years.
Conclusion
It is a very rare opportunity to have exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute a certain type of product that is mandated by law in a $40 billion a year industry.
In these exceptional circumstances never4get.us is design to provide exceptional results.
