  • 20 of the 23 restraints occurred within ABA programs (K-12) and ERI programs (K-5)

  • 23 of the 23 restraints involved students with IEP-driven behavior intervention plans and BCBA involvement

  • 20 of the 23 restraints involved students assigned to 1:1 paraprofessional or behavior technician support

  • 5 of the 23 restraints resulted from a one-time incident. Theses students were supported with positive behavior supports and BCBA consultation afterward with no further incidents of restraint.
