WHY HANDLING OTHERS' BAD CHOICES IS IMPORTANT:

👍 If someone is trying to bother you, they will probably stop

👍 You won't get yourself in trouble.

👍 People will know that you're not a tattletale but that you know when it's time to ask for help.

Step 1: Ignore it or ask the person to stop.

You might want to laugh at the person, yell at them, or something else.

Remember, your brain has a brake system just like a car. Use it to stop yourself. That's how ignoring works.

If you ask them to stop, use a calm voice and kind words. "Hey, can you stop please?"

Step 2: If the behavior doesn't stop, tell a trusted adult.

This is the responsible and respectful thing to do.

You tried to fix it first. You're trying to help the person stay out of trouble, not get them in trouble.

Asking an adult for help will also help you to stay out of trouble.
